I’m quite surprised to read about gutteral toads in Mauritius, which I’ve never heard of. But as an Australian I know all about cane toads and their wicked ways.

I love Barbara Kingsolver’s novels and Prodigal Summer is probably my favourite. I was less convinced by Flight Behaviour though – not up to her best standards.
